In this instalment, Arthur Malkoun, Senior Merchant Development Manager, ANZ, from Skimlinks sat down with us and here’s what he had to say.

Arthur Malkoun (AM): Skimlinks is the leader in commerce content, we track $6.3M of sales every day. Around the world top global editorial publishers trust Skimlinks to power their commerce journeys. We work with both leading Australian brands like News Australia, 7News and Pedestrian and an extensive international network of publishers, including 18 of the top 20 publishing brands around the world including Condé Nast, Hearst, and Yahoo!. A dedicated team looks after Network Quality and they manually approve each publisher who applies to join our platform where only 3% make the cut for our network.
As we help publishers grow commerce revenue, we also help 48,500 advertisers all over the world reach new customers and drive sales through quality editorial commerce content. We use our knowledge and expertise to connect merchants with the publishers who are their best fit for driving revenue.
Partnerize: Please describe a typical day in your office.
AM: After over two years at Skimlinks, I can confidently say there is no typical day, every day feels unique in its own way. Whether it’s attending an industry event or conference, having a strategy session with a merchant or publisher, diving deep into reports and insights, or highlighting market trends and opportunities, each day brings a new and exciting challenge.
Partnerize: What types of programs is your team looking to partner with?
AM: We are always looking to partner with programs that offer high-quality products and services that can drive significant traffic and conversions for our publishers. Working collaborations with top affiliate platforms such as Partnerize allow us to engage leading brands across verticals and regions that align with our vision of providing valuable and relevant content to our readers, ultimately boosting sales and brand visibility for our merchant partners. So far we have been fortunate to work with all kinds of publisher partners and therefore, have a great track record working with advertisers across diverse verticals to drive success including travel, fashion, home, department stores, consumer electronics, beauty, and more.
Partnerize: What Partnerize technology innovation has had the greatest impact on your team?
AM: Network transparency is key to creating strong partnerships. Partnerize merchants have access to complete domain-level data for traffic and conversions originating from Skimlinks publishers through downloadable reports and the Partnerize interface. This allows merchants to effortlessly establish exclusive rates for one or multiple publishers.
Partnerize: What sets your company apart from others or makes it unique?
AM: Our data transparency and strong relationships with top-tier publishers sets us apart from our competition. Understanding how each program is performing and identifying which publishers drive revenue is crucial for merchant growth. To facilitate this, we provide merchants with detailed performance data, including click-through rates and sales, accessible through Partnerize.
Partnerize: What do you attribute your company’s success to with Partnerize?
AM: By leveraging evergreen content and optimizing our campaigns for major sales periods, we’ve achieved significant success with Partnerize. Our evergreen content strategy ensures consistent engagement and relevance over time, driving sustained traffic and conversions for the merchants. Meanwhile, capitalizing on major shopping events maximizes the merchant’s impact and revenue during peak periods. This combined approach, supported by Partnerize’s dedicated account management team, allows us to consistently deliver exceptional value and results for our merchant partners.
Partnerize: What is one thing people should know about your company?
AM: Prioritizing quality over quantity, we build strong, long-term relationships with our publishers, ensuring continuous value and success for them. This strategy has enabled us to collaborate with 18 of the world’s top 20 enterprise publishers and thousands of independent publishers globally. Our extensive network and expertise in growing merchant programs has significantly contributed to the growth of the Partnerize portfolio, with a notable increase of over 97% in average order value this year.
Partnerize: What’s on the roadmap for your company?
AM: Skimlinks is committed to expanding and enhancing our offerings to maximize value for both publishers and merchants. There are two key initiatives on our roadmap:
Audience Exchange: We are integrating with Taboola to facilitate seamless sharing of Skimlinks commerce content, amplifying audience reach and engagement. This partnership will enable merchants to tap into a larger audience pool, boosting sales through increased exposure.
Content Widgets: We are developing new e-commerce widgets in collaboration with Taboola to enhance revenue opportunities. These widgets will leverage Taboola’s algorithm for selecting relevant articles, increasing engagement and conversions. Early results show significant increases in clicks and revenue, with a gradual rollout to top publishers in our network.
